Business and Conference Venues

The Highland Estate Conference centre has three main venues to choose from. Alternatively you may like to have your event catered in a wilderness setting or set up in the historic church on the Estate. We can cater for the traditional, the unique and the very, very special. One thing that surprises delegates and conference organisers is the friendly service, local knowledge, and value for money.

Whether it is a strategic business meeting for 10 or an exciting conference for 120, you can rest assured that our best people will be on hand to make sure your event goes smoothly. In fact, whatever the requirements, The Highland Estate staff and management will work with conference organisers to make your conference or business meeting a resounding success.

One thing is for sure, The Highland Estate Conference Centre is a unique conference destination with a lot to offer.

Upstairs in the Wildside

The upper level of our sophisticated Wildside Restaurant is available for larger groups, with a range of break out areas. Available May – October.

Capacity : 20 to 30 people

The Lodge

Perfect for conferences, executive meetings and special celebrations. Book the whole Lodge and enjoy your own private chef, butler, luxury accommodation, dinner in Wildside, cooked breakfast and lunch during your stay.

The Lodge accommodates up to 18 guests in 9 rooms. A great and relaxing experience for you and the whole group.

The Great Hall

A spacious and comfortable environment for a large group to meet, relax, work and enjoy a catered meal.

This majestic building has history painted all over it, in the form of the stunning Max Angus mural which dominates its walls. Situated right next to the Highlander Arms, this is ideal for larger meetings. Log fires, bright and airy, and a stage for those in the limelight, complete this spacious venue.

Conference Room

Need to hold a small strategic meeting? Why not book Tarraleah's conference room and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Tasmanian wilderness. The Conference room can seat anywhere from 5 to 20 people. A Great location for a small hard working group!

The Highlander Pub

Take over the local pub for the night, run a cooking competition in our demonstration kitchen, go walking or whisky tasting.

Reflection at the church

The Highland Church is one of the more unusual meeting areas available at Tarraleah. Originally built in the fifties, this serene room will give your presentation an added air of reverence. It can also be used as a break out area from one of our other spaces. Or you could get married in it, but that’s another story. Ask us if you are interested!!

The reading room at the Highlander

A library space to one side of the Highlander Arms, the Reading Room is close enough to the Church to be used in conjunction and close enough to the bar for when the work is finished. This is a quiet space during the day, and by night is just the spot for a working dinner or a morale-building evening.

Capacity : Boardroom or Dining for 20 to 30 people

The Garden

Kick back with your work team in the Tarraleah Garden for a conference meeting with a twist. Enjoy the aroma's of the Tasmanian wilderness while you work, play and relax! Soak up the warmth of the sun, listen to the birds and hold a memorable event that everyone will enjoy.

Room Hire fees cover room set up, whiteboards, data projector screens, overhead projector, flip charts and consumables.
